The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam in collaboration with Desso Company, coordinated a carpet design competition. Designers from everywhere in the world participated to make a unique new carpet which is exhibit in the central hall of the museum each Friday Night.
On these evenings Vincent van Gogh is the source of inspiration for the artist from around the world. Over this nights, it is display pop music, theatre and dance, films and fashion, among others. Special activities like a DJ, VJ, cocktail bar and free guided tours.
A professional jury selected Vanessa’s design between the top-5 entries. The competition was judge by Axel Rüger (Director Van Gogh Museum), Bas Koster (designer and visual artist), Thomas Widdershoven (Creative Director Design Academy Eindhoven), Léon Stolk (Creative Director Bourne Design) and Roland Jonkhoff (Managing Director Desso).
The winning design was be produced by Desso and is exhibit in the museum since September 2015.
